Summary In NG 108-15 cells expressing the recombinant human D3 receptor, dopamine agonists enhance [3H]thymidine incorporation and decrease cAMP accumulation. In these cells, but not in wild type cells, haloperidol, fluphenazine, and various other antipsychotics inhibited basal [3H]thymidine incorporation in a concentration-dependent manner. In contrast, other dopamine antagonists such as nafadotride or (+)AJ 76, two D3-preferring antagonists, were without effect. The concentration-response curve of haloperidol was shifted to the right in presence of nafadotride, with a potency compatible with its nanomolar apparent affinity as neutral antagonist. Pertussis toxin treatment abolished or markedly reduced the responses to haloperidol or fluphenazine. In contrast, no significant enhancement of cAMP accumulation could be observed, under the influence of haloperidol or eticlopride. These data indicate that some dopamine antagonists behave as inverse agonists, and thus appear to inhibit an agonist-independent activity of the D3 receptor on [3H]thymidine incorporation pathway, but not on the cAMP pathway. 相似文献

BACKGROUND: Consistent evidence has indicated that air pollution increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The underlying mechanisms linking air pollutants to increased cardiovascular risk are unclear. OBJECTIVES: We investigated the association between the pollution levels and changes in such global coagulation tests as the prothrombin time (PT) and the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) in 1218 normal subjects from the Lombardia Region, Italy. Plasma fibrinogen and naturally occurring anticoagulant proteins were also evaluated. METHODS: Hourly concentrations of particulate (PM10) and gaseous pollutants (CO, NO2, SO2, and O3) were obtained from 53 monitoring sites covering the study area. Generalized additive models were applied to compute standardized regression coefficients controlled for age, gender, body mass index, smoking, alcohol, hormone use, temperature, day of the year, and long-term trends. RESULTS: The PT became shorter with higher ambient air concentrations at the time of the study of PM10 (coefficient = -0.06; P < 0.05), CO (coefficient = -0.11; P < 0.001) and NO2 (coefficient =-0.06; P < 0.05). In the 30 days before blood sampling, the PT was also negatively associated with the average PM(10) (coefficient = -0.08; P < 0.05) and NO2 (coefficient = -0.08; P < 0.05). No association was found between the APTT and air pollutant levels. In addition, no consistent relations with air pollution were found for fibrinogen, antithrombin, protein C and protein S. CONCLUSIONS: This investigation shows that air pollution is associated with changes in the global coagulation function, suggesting a tendency towards hypercoagulability after short-term exposure to air pollution. 目的 研究手部握力大小与前臂肌肉表面肌电信号特征的相关性.方法 9名健康被试者参加了试验,包括最大自主收缩力(maximum volunteer contraction,MVC),80% MVC及40% MVC,记录指浅屈肌和腕长伸肌的表面肌电信号,并采用均方根和小波分析方法提取其特征参数;运用SPSS软件统计以被试者自身的MVC为基准的不同握力水平的相对特征值,使不同的被试者具有可比性.结果 对于单个被试者握力水平与表面肌电活动模式存在正相关性,即握力越大则对应的表面肌电信号的特征值也越大;对于所有的被试者这种正相关性也存在.结论 握力水平与肌肉活动模式具有相关性,这提示通过表面肌电信号的特征值不但可以预测握力的大小,还可用于运动功能测试及康复的评价. 相似文献

Abstract: In order to evaluate the level of evidence of factors influencing the survival of reconstructions, systematic reviews of the relevant literature were prepared by a group of rapporteurs. The review papers were circulated to the members of the group before the conference and formed the basis for group and panel discussions. Subsequently, modifications were added to the review papers, and suggestions for consensus statements concerning the following topics were prepared and again critically reviewed in the group and in the plenum: Impact of (i) periodontal disease on the survival of tooth-supported reconstructions, (ii) post-surgical factors as supportive therapy on the survival of implant supported reconstructions, (iii) technical and/or biological complications on the survival of different types of reconstructions, (iiii) material choice for reconstructions on the survival of single crowns and fixed dental prostheses. 相似文献

Although fever may induce seizures, especially in children, its occurrence following epileptic spells has been rarely described, except from generalized convulsive status epilepticus. We present two patients suffering from focal seizures accompanied by episodes of post-ictal fever, and review similar reports in the literature of the last 40 years. Temperature changes following non-convulsive seizures might be induced by gene upregulation occurring in the hypothalamus, the nucleus tractus solitarius, or in other brain regions, producing a local inflammatory response. Direct propagation of electrical discharges seems less consistent with the timing of development of this symptom. Heterogeneity of reported clinical features argues against the assumption of a definite localizing or lateralizing value for post-ictal fever. 相似文献

The subthalamic nucleus (STN) is a major target for treatment of advanced Parkinson's disease patients undergoing deep brain stimulation surgery. Microelectrode recording (MER) is used in many cases to identify the target nucleus. A real-time procedure for identifying the entry and exit points of the STN would improve the outcome of this targeting procedure. We used the normalized root mean square (NRMS) of a short (5 seconds) MER sampled signal and the estimated anatomical distance to target (EDT) as the basis for this procedure. Electrode tip location was defined intraoperatively by an expert neurophysiologist to be before, within, or after the STN. Data from 46 trajectories of 27 patients were used to calculate the Bayesian posterior probability of being in each of these locations, given RMS-EDT pair values. We tested our predictions on each trajectory using a bootstrapping technique, with the rest of the trajectories serving as a training set and found the error in predicting the STN entry to be (mean +/- SD) 0.18 +/- 0.84, and 0.50 +/- 0.59 mm for STN exit point, which yields a 0.30 +/- 0.28 mm deviation from the expert's target center. The simplicity and computational ease of RMS calculation, its spike sorting-independent nature and tolerance to electrode parameters of this Bayesian predictor, can lead directly to the development of a fully automated intraoperative physiological procedure for the refinement of imaging estimates of STN borders. 相似文献

A patient with chronic cerebral paragonimiasis began to have new motor seizures of the right face manifested by clonic contractions that occurred several hundred times a day, consistent with simple partial status epilepticus. Ictal electroencephalogram discharges started from the left frontal region and then spread to the left hemisphere with left frontal maximum. But clinical seizures were limited to the right face. The frequent partial seizures were controlled by the intravenous infusion of phenytoin. Brain magnetic resonance imaging showed multiple conglomerated round nodules with encephalomalacia in the left temporal and occipital lobes. Applying the technique of ictal-interictal single-photo emission computed tomography subtraction, the authors were able to localize the focal ictal-hyperperfusion on left precentral cortex adjacent to the lesions that correspond to the anatomical distribution of left face motor area. 相似文献

On the synthesis of time‐varying LQG weights and noises along optimal control and state trajectories
A general approach to control non‐linear uncertain systems is to apply a pre‐computed nominal optimal control, and use a pre‐computed LQG compensator to generate control corrections from the on‐line measured data. If the non‐linear model, on which the optimal control and LQG compensator design is based, is of sufficient quality, and when the LQG compensator is designed appropriately, the closed‐loop control system is approximately optimal. This paper contributes to the selection and computation of the time‐varying LQG weighting and noise matrices, which determine the LQG compensator design. It is argued that the noise matrices may be taken time‐invariant and diagonal. Three very important considerations concerning the selection of the time‐varying LQG weighting matrices are turned into a concrete computational scheme. Thereby, the selection of the time‐varying LQG weighting matrices is reduced to selecting three scalar design parameters, each one weighting one consideration. Although the three considerations seem straightforward they may oppose one another. Furthermore, they usually result in time‐varying weighting matrices that are indefinite, rather than positive (semi) definite as required for the LQG design. The computational scheme presented in this paper addresses and resolves both problems. By two numerical examples the benefits of our optimal closed‐loop control system design are demonstrated and evaluated using Monte Carlo simulation. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献
