广州市第八人民医院是华南地区最大的传染病专科医院.近年来,医院在医疗业务发展、专科特色建设、人才队伍培养与成长和精神文明建设方面都取得了长足的进步和可喜的成绩.他们通过转变观念、利用信息技术、加强人才建设,崇德厚术,用现代化的管理为医院的发展系上了腾飞的翅膀.

该对医药基本建设中的建筑设计、建筑规模、设备选型与能源消耗关系进行分析比较，提出合理配置卫生资源，降低运行成本，减少能源消耗的对策和建议。     

Occupational lead exposure aboard a tall ship

To evaluate occupational exposures to lead in shipfitters cutting and riveting lead-painted iron plates aboard an iron-hulled sailing vessel, we conducted an environmental and medical survey. Lead exposures in seven personal (breathing zone) air samples ranged from 108 to 500 micrograms/m3 (mean 257 micrograms/m3); all were above the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard of 50 micrograms/m3. In two short-term air samples obtained while exhaust ventilation was temporarily disconnected, mean lead exposure rose to 547 micrograms/m3. Blood lead levels in ten shipfitters ranged from 25 to 53 micrograms/dl (mean, 37.8 micrograms/dl); levels in three of these workers exceeded the upper normal limit of 40 micrograms/dl. Blood lead levels in shipfitters were significantly higher than in other shipyard workers (mean 10.0 micrograms/dl; p less than 0.001). Smoking shipfitters (mean, 47 micrograms/dl) had significantly higher lead levels than nonsmokers (mean, 32 micrograms/dl; p = 0.03). Lead levels in shipfitters who wore respirators were not lower than in those who wore no protective gear (p = 0.68). Four shipfitters had erythrocyte protoporphyrin (EP) concentrations above the adult upper normal limit of 50 micrograms/dl. A close correlation was found between blood lead and EP levels (r = 0.70). Prevalence of lead-related symptoms was no higher in shipfitters than in other workers. No cases of symptomatic lead poisoning were noted. These data indicate that serious occupational exposure to lead can occur in a relatively small boatyard.     

Nursing as Informed Caring for the Well-Being of Others

Assumptions about four main phenomena of concern to nursing (persons/ clients, health/well-being, environments and nursing) are presented and an elaboration is made of the structure of a theory of caring. The issues that arise when nursing is viewed as "informed caring for the well-being of others is also examined."     

Community building: Our next frontier

Today's society is faced with numerous, escalating problems like homelessness, drug addictions, and violence, and some of these problems may be related to a declining sense of community. In this article, we trace some of the historical reasons that account for why many individuals no longer have a strong sense of community. Example are provided of the development of communities that provide members with a sense of connectedness and cohesion. We believe that community building represents a promising direction for the field of community psychology.

120急救中心文化建设是社会文化建设的一个重要组成部分，它是120急救中心建设与长期的医疗急救活动过程中形成的具有120急救中心特色的价值观念、道德观念、基本精神、根本宗旨、规章制度等，以及与此相适应的思维方式和行为准则，它对120急救中心的建设与发展至关重要，而工会在文化建设中的独特作用是任何组织不可替代的，工会的优势必须得到充分发挥，才能推进120急救中心文化建设。     

某市地下商场空气污染现状的分析

本文对哈尔滨市两个地下商场的空气污染现状进行了调查与监测,并以在地下环境中工作的从业人员为对象,以地面上的秋林公司职员为对照,测定了人体的唾液溶菌酶含量。结果表明:哈地下商业街和龙防地下商场空气污染极为严重,空气污染指数分别为5.65和3.79。而且地下环境从业人员唾液溶菌酶含量明显低于地面上从业人员,两者差异显著(P<0.01)。说明长期工作在空气污染严重的地下空间环境中,人体的免疫功能降低,人体健康受到了不良影响。通过对地下商场空气污染来源的分析,提出了治理地下商场空气污染的关键是治理外界大气污染,尤其是交通污染。
