Dislocation of the radial head in adults is uncommon. A simultaneous dislocation of the radial head
and fracture of the ipsilateral distal end of radius with no other associated injuries is extremelyrare. As far as we know, such an injury after an unusual mode of injury has been
seldom reported in the English literature. We report such a case without any associated injuries or comorbidity. Closed reduction was performed within two hours after injury and results were satisfactory. Immobilisation was continued for 3 weeks. Gradual mobilisation was started after removal of the plaster under the supervision of a physiotherapist. At 6 months’ follow-up, the patient had no residual pain at the elbow with full flexion & extension. Almost full supination
with a restriction of last 10 degrees of pronation was achieved. There was no evidence of instability of the elbow. 相似文献

An elongated styloid process is an unusual source of craniofacial and cervical pain. This condition is characterized by a dull, nagging pharyngeal pain and a palpatory finding in the tonsillar fossa. Eagle described it for the first time in 1937 as Eagle's Syndrome and divided it into two subtypes: the "classic syndrome" and the "stylo-carotid syndrome." The syndrome generally follows tonsillectomy or trauma. Diagnosis is confirmed by radiological findings. Palpation of the styloid process in the tonsillar fossa and infiltration with anesthetic are also used for making a diagnosis. This article presents a case report of a patient with a history of throat pain that was relieved after surgical treatment. 相似文献

Background
The TF (Thomson – Friedenreich) blood group antigen behaves as an onco-foetal carcinoma-associated antigen, showing increased expression in malignancies and its detection and quantification can be used in serologic diagnosis mainly in adenocarcinomas. This study was undertaken to analyze the sera and tissue level detectable mucin-type glycoprotein (TF-antigen) by Peanut agglutinin (PNA) and its diagnostic index in serum as well tissues of human esophageal squamous cell carcinoma as marker. 相似文献5.
