多原发癌

多原发癌（multiple primary carcinoma MPC）是指同一个体同时或先后发生两种或两种以上原发性恶性肿瘤。它以出现时间的先后分为两种：同时性MPC和异时性MPC。多原发癌又称重复癌（double primary cancer）或第二原位癌（second primary cancer），是肿瘤发生学上的一种较少见的现象，近年有关MPC的报道呈渐增趋势，国外文献报道发生率为1．2%～10．7％，而国内文献报道发生率仅为0．4％～2．4％。消化道MPC（潘源）116例占同期收治的各类消化系统恶性肿瘤患者总数的1．7％，随着恶性肿瘤患者生存期的延长和诊断水平的提高，如PET等先进手段在临床的逐步应用，对MPC的发病率的报道有渐增的趋势，所以提高对MPC的认识，减少误诊、漏诊对进一步延长患者的生存期至关重要。     

From access to adherence： the challenges of antiretroviral treatment

This book is a testament to the early treatment successes and the hidden challenges of antiretroviral therapy （ART） in resource-poor settings. It is also a wake-up call to the risk of treatment failure and the development of widespread ARV resistance unless all patients are given the continuing support they need to achieve full adherence to ARVs. AIDS is particularly challenging because it requires very high （at least 95%） levels of adherence to prevent treatment failure and the generation of ARV-resistant virus.
