Objective: To observe the clinical effect of superficial needling for ntractable humeral epicondylitis. Methods: Sixty cases in conformity with the inclusion criteria of intractable humeral epicondylitis were randomly divided into two groups, 30 cases in each. The cases in the superficial needling group were treated by superficial needling plus moxibustion, while those in the electro- acupuncture (EA) group were treated by EA plus moxibustion. After treatment, the improvement of the clinical symptoms and signs were compared between the two groups. Results: The curative rate was 80.0% and the total effective rate was 96.7% in the superficial needling group. The curative rate was 60.0% and the total effective rate was 83.3% in the EA group. The differences in the clinical effects between the two groups were statistically significant (P〈0.05). Conclusion: The therapeutic effect of superficial needling plus moxibustion for intractable humeral epicondylitis is better than that of EA plus moxibustion.  相似文献

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of comprehensive acupuncture therapy for chronic urticaria. Methods: A total of 70 patients with chronic urticaria were treated with acupuncture, bloodletting after pricking and cupping [on Shenque (CV 8)]. The changes of signs and symptoms were observed before and after treatment. The therapeutic efficacy was then assessed according to the change rate of clinical symptoms scoring. Results: After treatment, 11 of the 70 cases got basic recovery, 21 cases got marked effectiveness, 27 cases got improvement and 11 cases got no effect. The total effective rate was 84.3%. There was statistical significance in symptoms score between before and after treatment (P<0.01). Conclusion: Combining acupuncture, bloodletting after pricking and cupping on Shenque (CV 8) is effective for chronic urticaria.  相似文献

In the present study, the therapeutic effect of acupuncture at Shuigou (GV 26), Neiguan (PC 6) and Zusanli (ST 36) in treatment of 30 cases of ischemic cerebral apoplexy patients and its action on plasma β-EP (endorphine) level were observed. After treatment, of the 30-inpatients, 16 cases were cured basically, 9 had marked improvement, 4 had slight improvement and the rest one had no any changes. The significantly effective rate was 83.3% and the total effective rate was 96.7%. Before acupuncture treatment, the content of plasma β-EP inpatients with ischemicstroke increased significantly in comparison with that of normal group (P<0.01). While after treatment, plasma β-EP level decreased to approach to the normal level, which may be one of the mechanisms of acupunct。ure in alleviating stoke patients.  相似文献

Objective: To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) combined with Stretta radiofrequency treatment on contents of motilin (MTL) and gastrin (GAS) in gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) patients. Methods: A total of 90 eligible GERD cases were randomly allocated into three groups, 30 in each group. Patients in the EA group were treated with EA, patients in the radiofrequency group were treated with Stretta radiofrequency, and patients in the observation group were treated with EA combined with Stretta radiofrequency. Assessment was made after a course of treatment. Results: The recovery, improvement and failure cases and total effective rate in the EAgroup were 2, 18, 10 and 67.7% respectively, versus 13, 13, 4 and 86.7% in the radiofrequency group and 20, 9, 1 and 96.7% in the observation group. The therapeutic efficacy in the observation group was significantly better than that in the other two groups (P〈0.01). After treatment, symptom scores of regurgitation, heartburn and substernal burning pain in all three groups were significantly reduced (P〈0.05); the reduction in the observation group was more significant than that inthe other two groups (P〈0.05),and the reduction in the radiofrequency group was more significant than that in the EA group (P〈0.05). After treatment, the contents of MTL and GAS in all three groups were increased; and the increase in the observation group was more significant than that in the other two groups (P〈0.05). Conclusion: EA combined with Stretta radiofrequency treatment can significantly improve the clinical effect of GERD patients, improve regurgitation, heartburn and substernal burning pain and increase the contents of MTL and GAS.  相似文献

Peripheral facial paralysis is a common disease with manifestation of facial paralysis. The author‘s clinical observation on 50 cases of facial paralysis treated mainly with acupuncture showed an effective rate of 98%,and the remarkable effectiveness was reported as follows.50 cases of outpatients which consisted of 14 males and 36 females were observed. The oldest was 61 years and the youngest 24 years, with an average age of 36 years.33 cases had facial paralysis on the right side and other 17 cases on the left side. The shortest duration was one day and the longest 19 months.Treatment was done once every other day and a course comprised of ten treatments.Main acupoints:Chengqi(ST 1),Sibai(ST 2),Juliao(ST 3),Dicang(ST 4),Jiache(ST 6),Xiaguan (ST 7),Sizhukong (TE 23),and Hegu(LI 4),etc.were all adopted in every treatement.Complementary acupoints were Yingxiang (Li 20),Cuanzhou (BL 2),Yangbai(GB 14),and Chengjiang(CV 24).Methods:Gauge 28 filiform needles(1 cun at length) were used.In the needling process, manipulations of even reinforcing and reducing in combination with lifting-thrusting and twirling-rotating were abopted. The needling sensation was made to increase only within the patient‘s bearable threshold and the needles were withdrawn immediately following manipulating the needles for a while (about 3 min).Shallow insertion of acupuncture needles was carried out throughout the whole treatment process.Criteria of the therapeutic effect:Cure:The clinical synptoms disappeared ompletely after treatment (facial muscle was normal).Effective:Some symptoms were improved but facial expression was still slay.No effect:Symptoms remained the same after the therapy.Results:80% of the 50 cases, namely 27 cases with left facial paralysis and 13 cases with right side facial paralysis, were cured.7 cases(14%) showed significant improvement,2cases(4%) effectiveness, and 1 case(2%) no effect, thus the total effective rate was 98%.Conclusion:Patients with shorter duration of disease (within a month) had higher recovering rate than those of the longer duration.Partial nerve injured patient had higher curative rate than the fully injured.Hence early discovery and treatment are the key of curing.  相似文献

Objective: To observe the effect of different treatment frequency of electric pudendal nerve stimulation (EPNS) on stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Methods: A total of 60 female SUI cases were randomly allocated into group A and group B, 30 in each group. Cases in both groups were treated with EPNS, 3 times a week for group A, versus twice a week for group B. Then clinical symptoms, stress urinary incontinence and quality of life (QOL) were assessed respectively before treatment and after 12 times of treatment by using questionnaire. In addition, for 99 cases whose clinical symptom scores were reduced by more than 50% after EPNS treatment, a telephone interview follow-up was conducted. Results: The cases in the treatment group were better than those in the control group in the enhancement of clinical effects, the decline of VAS scores and the improvement of clinical symptoms and sign integrals, with statistical significance (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusion: EPNS has positive effect for female SUI; different treatment frequencies have certain impact on clinical effect: the effect achieved by 3 times a week was better than that by twice a week; and this therapy has stable long-term effect.  相似文献
