目的 测定青光眼患者血清及房水一氧化氮(NO)浓度并探讨其在青光眼发病中的作用。方法 实验患者分为青光眼组和白内障组,应用硝酸还原酶法分别测定两组患者血清及房水NO浓度。结果 两组患者血清NO浓度无显著性差异,青光眼组内各类型之间血清NO浓度亦无显著性差异。原发性开角型青光眼患者房水NO浓度较对照组及其他类型青光眼显著降低,闭角型青光眼患者房水NO浓度较对照组显著升高(P<0.01)。 结论 眼压升高可引起房水NO浓度升高,过多的NO可损伤小梁网及邻近的葡萄膜及视网膜组织。开角型青光眼患者由于房角原生型一氧化氮合成酶的减少引起房水NO浓度的降低,此可能为眼压升高的原因之一。  相似文献

目的探讨急性闭角型青光眼(AACG)患者血清和房水中一氧化氮(NO)浓度的变化及它们与眼压的关系,并分析这些变化对青光眼发生发展可能产生的影响。方法用硝酸还原酶法测定AACG患者28例及正常人20例血清中一氧化氮的浓度,AACC;患者22例和老年性白内障患者13例房水中一氧化氮的浓度,分别对血清和房水中一氧化氮的浓度进行统计学分析。结果青光眼组的房水平均NO浓度为(61.46±4.89)μm/L,白内障组的房水平均NO浓度为(30,60±2,81)μm/l,两组均数之间的差异有显著性(P<0.01)。青光眼组血清NO平均浓度为(68.49±15.37)μm/L,正常对照组血清NO平均浓度为(72.19±10.82)μm/L,两组均数之间的差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论μAACG患者房水NO浓度较白内障组明显增高,高眼压可能是导致房水NO浓度改变的关键因素。过度升高的NO对视网膜神经节细胞的毒性作用可能参与了青光眼性视神经损害的发展过程。  相似文献

目的:检测新生血管性青光眼(NVG)患者房水和血清中血管内皮生长因子-A(VEGF-A)、血小板源性生长因子(PDGF)、色素上皮衍生因子(PEDF)的含量,并分析其意义。

方法:前瞻性临床研究。采用酶联免疫吸附法(ELISA)检测2015-12/2016-12在西京医院眼科住院的NVG患者23例及年龄相关性白内障患者23例房水及血清中VEGF-A、PDGF、PEDF的含量并定量分析。

结果:NVG患者房水中VEGF-A、PDGF的含量分别为1130.56±69.32、221.95±56.08ng/L,均显著高于年龄相关性白内障患者组(226.45±37.46、36.25±7.12ng/L)(均P<0.01); NVG患者房水中PEDF的含量为195.69±42.00ng/L,低于年龄相关性白内障患者组(497.89±12.52ng/L)(P<0.01); NVG组血清中VEGF-A、PDGF及PEDF的含量分别为226.45±37.46、29.57±6.31及13.24±1.76ng/L,均与年龄相关性白内障患者组(219±34.89、28.28±7.24、12.96±2.08ng/L)无差异(均P>0.05)。NVG患者房水中VEGF-A和PDGF含量呈正相关(r=0.502,P=0.015),而VEGF-A与PEDF含量呈负相关(r=-0.480,P=0.020)。

结论:NVG患者房水中VEGF-A、PDGF的含量显著升高,而PEDF的含量显著降低,且VEGF-A的含量与PDGF含量呈正相关、与PEDF含量呈负相关。联合使用VEGF-A、PDGF抑制剂及PEDF可能为NVG治疗提供新的思路。  相似文献

目的 :检测不同类型青光眼患者房水中的肝细胞生长因子 (hepatocytegrowthfactor,HGF)浓度并与单纯白内障患者作比较 ,初步探讨HGF在青光眼发病中的作用。方法 :取不同类型青光眼及单纯白内障患者的房水样本 0 1~ 0 2ml,采用双抗体夹心法酶联免疫吸附试验 (enzyme linkedimmunosorbentassay ,ELISA)测定其HGF浓度。结果 :2 0例原发性急性闭角型青光眼组房水HGF为 (32 19 74 5 1± 32 99 2 4 4 1) pg/ml;2 8例原发性慢性闭角型青光眼组HGF为 (86 2 4 2 86± 2 5 5 885 1)pg/ml;18例原发性开角型青光眼组HGF为 (10 72 5 72 3± 5 0 4 885 0 ) pg/ml;2 8例单纯白内障对照组HGF为 (6 85 314 3±173 7970 )pg/ml。三组青光眼与白内障对照组比较均有显著性差异 (P <0 0 5 ) ,并且急性闭角型青光眼组与慢性闭角型青光眼组和开角型青光眼组比较具有非常显著性差异 (P <0 0 1) ,慢性闭角型青光眼组与开角型青光眼组比较 (P =0 815 )没有显著性差异。结论 :HGF可能与青光眼发病后的组织损伤有关。  相似文献

目的 了解内皮素 - 1和急性闭角型青光眼之间的关系。方法 用放射免疫分析法分别测定 31例急性闭角型青光眼患者在高眼压和眼压控制时 ,以及作为对照组的 30例老年性白内障患者 ,血浆内皮素 - 1和降钙素基因相关肽的含量。结果 对照组血浆内皮素 - 1平均含量为 (75 .35±18.4 5 ) mg· L- 1 ;实验组高眼压时血浆内皮素 - 1平均含量为(117.0 6± 34.0 2 ) mg· L- 1 ,较对照组有明显升高 (P <0 .0 5 ) ;实验组眼压控制时血浆内皮素 - 1平均含量时为(79.0 7± 2 5 .2 8) m g· L- 1 ,与对照组比较无显著性差异 (P=0 .6 4 1) ,但与高眼压时比较有明显下降 (P<0 .0 5 )。血浆中降钙素基因相关肽平均含量 ,对照组为 (48.4 2± 19.4 9)m g· L- 1 ,实验组高眼压时为 (45 .2 4± 2 1.5 5 ) mg· L- 1 ,眼压控制时为 (5 0 .89± 19.82 ) m g· L- 1 ,3者比较差异无显著性 (F=0 .6 0 4 ,P=0 .5 4 9)。结论 急性闭角型青光眼患者血浆中内皮素 - 1含量在眼压高低的不同阶段有明显变化  相似文献

超声乳化治疗原发性闭角型青光眼的临床研究   总被引:7,自引:1,他引:6  
目的了解原发性闭角型青光眼早期合并白内障超声乳化术的疗效.方法对42例急性闭角型青光眼临床前期,先兆期或缓解期,以及慢性闭角型青光眼早期合并白内障病人,随机分为A组(白内障超声乳化吸出联合人工晶状体植入术)和B组(虹膜周边切除术)观察手术前后眼压、前房深度、前房角及视力情况.结果 A组术后第1天眼压升高,随后降至正常.术后平均前房深度(4.56±0.52 mm),较术前(2.30±0.20 mm)加深.经统计学分析差异有显著意义.术后比术前房角增宽,差异也有显著意义.视力明显提高.结论在原发性闭角型青光眼早期合并白内障的治疗中,超声乳化手术可以加深前房,开放房角,既能提高视力,又能避免青光眼发作.  相似文献

目的:分析维吾尔族正常眼压性青光眼患者血浆β淀粉样蛋白(β amyloid protein,Aβ)1-40及Aβ1-42的变化.方法:维吾尔族正常眼压性青光眼患者37例,维吾尔族白内障对照组患者40例,汉族正常眼压性青光眼对照组患者40例.3组年龄、性别无显著性差异.采用ELISA法分别检测血浆Aβ1-40和Aβ1-42的含量.结果:维吾尔族正常眼压性青光眼组血浆Aβ1-40和Aβ1-42含量分别为(142.4±7.0)ng/L和(159.8±5.5)ng/L;维吾尔族白内障对照组含量为(120.3±5.3)ng/L和(101.6±6.5)ng/L;汉族正常眼压性青光眼对照组含量为(140.0±4.2)ng/L和(161.1±2.8)ng/L.维吾尔族两组的Aβ 1-40和Aβ1-42差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05),维汉两组正常眼压性青光眼的Aβ1-40和Aβ1-42均无统计学差异(P>0.05).结论:维吾尔族正常眼压性青光眼患者血浆Aβ1-40和Aβ1-42含量升高,但维汉两组无明显差异.  相似文献

目的:探讨闭角型青光眼患者红细胞免疫功能与血清促红细胞生成素(EPO)和血浆内皮素-1(ET-1)的相关性。

方法:选取2017-06/10期间我院收治的闭角型青光眼患者30例(病例组)与眼部正常者30例(对照组)为研究对象。测定并比较两组受试者红细胞免疫功能、血清EPO和血浆ET-1浓度,分析之间的相关性。

结果:病例组受试者红细胞C3b受体花环率明显低于对照组(10.81%±2.01% vs 18.06%±3.44%),红细胞免疫复合物花环率明显高于对照组(17.21±3.49% vs 11.74±2.14%),血清EPO浓度明显高于对照组(26.10±5.22 mU/mL vs 22.68±4.06mU/mL),血浆ET-1浓度明显高于对照组(70.85±7.16ng/L vs 58.43±5.09ng/L)。闭角型青光眼患者红细胞C3b受体花环率与血清EPO浓度呈显著正相关(r=0.271,P<0.05),与血浆ET-1浓度无明显相关性。

结论:闭角型青光眼患者红细胞免疫功能与血清EPO浓度呈正相关。  相似文献

目的 通过测定并比较视网膜脱离患者行玻璃体切除联合硅油填充术后继发青光眼患者房水中的TNF-α的含量,并探讨其在硅油眼继发青光眼中的发病机制,从而为临床治疗提供切人点.方法 选取因孔源性视网膜脱离行玻璃体切除联合硅油填充术后继发青光眼及术后无眼压升高、行硅油取出或联合小梁切除术的患者作为研究对象.同时选取单纯白内障患者作为对照.所有病例行手术时抽取未稀释的房水约0.1~0.2 ml,-70℃深低温冰箱冻存备用.用放射免疫法测定房水标本中的TNF-α的含量.用SAS V8软件进行统计学分析.结果 第Ⅰ组14例,房水中TNF-α含量平均(1.0404±0.2449) ng/ml,第Ⅱ组16例,房水中TNF-α含量平均(0.6894±0.3152) ng/ml,第Ⅲ组17例,房水中TNF-α含量平均(0.7099±0.1992) ng/ml.经统计学分析,房水标本中的TNF-α含量各组间差异有统计学意义,(F =8.65,P=0.0007,P<0.05),第Ⅰ组与第Ⅱ组、第Ⅲ组间差异显著,有统计学意义,而后两组间差异不显著,无统计学意义.结论 房水标本中TNF-α的含量在视网膜脱离行玻璃体切除联合硅油填充术后继发青光眼的患眼中明显升高,TNF-α可能是硅油眼继发青光眼发病机制的一个重要的细胞因子.  相似文献

目的了解新生血管性青光眼(neovascular glaucoma, NVG)患者房水及玻璃体中血管内皮生长因子(vascular endothelial growth factor, VEGF)的含量以及对虹膜新生血管发生的影响。方法应用酶联免疫吸附测定法(enzyme linked immu nosorbent assay, ELISA)分别对11例NVG患者行内眼手术时抽取的房水、玻璃体22个标本以及同期6例黄斑裂孔手术患者(对照组)房水、玻璃体12个标本进行VEGF检测。结果NVG患者房水、玻璃体中VEGF含量分别为(1.451±0.247)、(1.610±0.125) ng/ml,较对照组房水、玻璃体中的 VEGF含量(0.189±0.038)、(0.201±0.055) ng/ml明显增高, 两组间差别有非常显著性意义(t=12.007,P<0.001;t=26.057,P<0.001)。结论NVG患者房水、玻璃体中VEGF浓度显著增高,提示VEGF在NVG患者虹膜新生血管形成过程中可能具有一定作用。(中华眼底病杂志,2001,17:305-306)  相似文献

PURPOSE: Raised intraocular pressure (IOP) is the major risk factor responsible for optic nerve damage in primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). The trabecularmeshwork acts as a valve in aqueous outflow and relaxes with nitric oxide (NO) agonists. Since NO is synthesized by endothelium and smooth muscle elsewhere in the body, this study investigated the NO levels in the aqueous humor of patients with POAG compared with cataract patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Aqueous humor samples were taken by paracentesis from 16 consecutive patients with POAG (9 male and 7 female; mean age 69.0+/-3.4 yrs) and 14 age and sex-matched controls with cataract (8 male and 6 female; mean age 66.7+/-4.1 yrs) during elective surgery. As an indicator for NO, aqueous total nitrite levels (end - product of NO) were measured by Greiss reaction. The Mann-Whitney U test was used for statistical analysis and P <0.05 was considered significant. RESULTS: The mean age and sex in two groups were comparable. The mean aqueous humor NO levels were significantly (P = 0.001) lower in patients with glaucoma (72.72+/-11.21 micromol/L) than in patients with cataract and no glaucoma (86.92+/-11.23 micromol/L). CONCLUSIONS: Decreased NO production in patients with POAG indicates that NO-producing cells may be lost as the disease progresses. The control of NO levels in the eye might be a therapeutic target in glaucoma.  相似文献

Though several studies have shown that the biochemical function of nitric oxide (NO) in the eye might play an important role in the regulation of intraocular pressure (IOP), local control of ocular blood flow and loss of retinal ganglion cells by apoptosis, it is unclear whether the role of NO is similar in the pathogenesis of different kinds of glaucoma: primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), chronic closed-angle glaucoma (CCAG) and neovascular glaucoma (NVG). To further explore this issue, we measured the concentrations of NO in aqueous humor and plasma samples from patients with POAG (n = 31), CCAG (n = 76), NVG (n = 8) and cataract (n = 30). All of the NVG patients suffered from severe proliferative diabetic retinopathy, while other patients were free of any other systemic disease. The NO levels in both aqueous humor and plasma samples were assessed by chemiluminescence assay. We found that the NO levels in aqueous humor samples were greatly varied in patients with POAG (36.2 +/- 3.3 microM), CCAG (47.7 +/- 3.4 microM) and NVG (65.8 +/- 5.4 microM), and all of them were significantly higher than in cataract patients (27.0 +/- 2.9 microM p < 0.05). Except NVG patients whose NO levels in plasma samples were highest (24.1 +/- 3.5 microM) among all groups, the plasma NO levels were not significantly different between the other glaucoma patients and the cataract patients. We therefore concluded that significant variation of the elevated NO levels in aqueous humor samples from the patients with different types of glaucoma may reflect their differences in the pathogenesis.  相似文献

Nitric oxide (NO) has effects on the regulation of aqueous humor dynamics, but the exact mechanism is not yet established. To investigate the possible roles of NO in glaucoma, we determined NO levels in aqueous humor and plasma in glaucoma patients and a control group, cataract patients. The study is an open trial with purposed sampling. One hundred fifty-two patients, including 87 glaucoma patients and 65 cataract patients from two medical centers, were recruited. NO levels in the samples were measured by a chemiluminescence assay. We found that, although the mean aqueous humor NO level (mean +/- SEM) was higher in the glaucoma patients than in the cataract patients (39.7 +/- 1.5 microM vs. 35.5 +/- 1.3 microM, p < 0.05), NO levels varied significantly in different types of glaucoma. The juvenile glaucoma patients had the lowest mean NO level (8.4 +/- 0.9 microM), while the acute angle-closure glaucoma and neovascular glaucoma patients had the highest mean NO levels (64.8 +/- 7.6 microM, 67.3 +/- 8.2 microM). In comparison, the mean plasma NO level in the glaucoma patients was not statistically different from that in the cataract patients (14.1 +/- 1.2 microM vs. 13.9 +/- 1.1 microM, p = 0.91). Our data may provide information for applying NO-mimicking nitrovasodilators in the treatment of glaucoma.  相似文献

目的 探讨前部视网膜冷凝术对新生血管性青光眼患者房水中血管内皮生长因子(VEGF)含量的影响以及VEGF含量的变化与虹膜新生血管之间的关系。方法对28例确诊为新生血管性青光眼患者行虹膜血管造影,确定新生血管的范围和数量后,行前部视网膜冷凝术,7~14d后经虹膜血管造影确定虹膜新生血管大部分消退后,再行小梁切除术。分别于前部视网膜冷凝术前和小梁切除术前抽取房水标本,另取30例老年性白内障患者房水标本。采用酶联免疫吸附法分别测定全部房水标本中的VEGF含量。结果小梁切除术前房水中VEGF的含量[(2.096±0.512)ng/ml]明显低于前视网膜冷凝术前房水中VEGF含量[(0.478±0.312)ng/ml],两者比较差异有统计学意义(P〈0.01)。小梁切除术前房水中VEGF含量明显高于老年性白内障患者房水中VEGF的含量[(0.198±0.045)ng/ml],两者比较差异有统计学意义(P〈0.01)。结论VEGF在虹膜新生血管的形成中可能发挥一定的作用;阻断促使虹膜产生新生血管的VEGF来源,可抑制新生血管性青光眼的发生.(中华眼科杂志.2007.43:622-625)  相似文献

PURPOSE: To assess the concentrations of hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) in the aqueous humor of eyes with glaucoma compared with control eyes with cataract only. METHODS: Concentrations of HGF were measured in aqueous humor aspirates taken during anterior segment surgery from 84 patients, of whom 72 had glaucoma (38 cases of primary open-angle glaucoma, 17 angle-closure glaucoma, and 17 exfoliative glaucoma) and 12 had cataract only, using a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit. RESULTS: Hepatocyte growth factor was detected in all samples. The concentration in eyes with cataract only was 563.3 +/- 178.8 pg/mL (mean +/- standard deviation), which was significantly lower than that in eyes with glaucoma (967.1 +/- 514.7 pg/mL, P < 0.01). Eyes with exfoliative glaucoma had significantly higher HGF concentrations (1,425.5 +/- 586.7 pg/mL) than did eyes with primary open-angle glaucoma (855.0 +/- 341.5 pg/mL) and angle-closure glaucoma (759.4 +/- 511.4 pg/mL) (P < 0.01). There was no effect of age, sex, or history of medical, laser, or surgical treatment on the aqueous humor HGF concentration (P > 0.05). Aqueous humor and plasma HGF concentrations were measured and compared in 28 patients. The aqueous humor HGF concentration (908 +/- 586.2 pg/mL) was significantly higher (P < 0.01) than the plasma concentration (521.3 +/- 183.1 pg/mL). No significant correlation could be found between aqueous humor and plasma HGF concentrations. CONCLUSIONS: The relatively high concentration of HGF in human aqueous humor suggests that HGF may play an important role in ocular physiology and disease. The higher concentration in patients with glaucoma may indicate a response to injury.  相似文献

PURPOSE: Adrenomedullin is a multifunctional 52 amino acid large peptide. Recent studies have reported that it is expressed in the iris-ciliary body in the eye and that it decreases intraocular pressure (IOP) by increasing outflow facility via specific adrenomedullin receptors, suggesting a role for this peptide in controlling IOP. In the present study, we aimed to explore clinically the possible involvement of adrenomedullin in the pathophysiology of glaucoma. METHODS: Reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography was used to determine the aqueous humor adrenomedullin levels in 41 patients (41 eyes) undergoing elective surgery for a variety of ocular diseases in the Research Hospital of In?nü University Medical Faculty between 1999 and 2000. The ocular diseases of the patients included primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG, n = 16), neovascular glaucoma (NG, n = 11), and cataract (n = 14). The study was an open trial with purposive sampling. Aqueous humor samples were taken by paracentesis. Mann-Whitney U-test was used in the statistical analysis and P <.05 was considered as significant. Results were expressed as mean +/- SE. RESULTS: The mean age and sex distribution between groups were comparable. Mean adrenomedullin levels in patients with POAG (22.3 +/- 0.6 pmol/L) were significantly higher than those in patients with NG (5.6 +/- 0.2, pmol/L; P <.001) and cataract (11.9 +/- 0.5, pmol/L; P <.001). On the other hand, the mean aqueous humor adrenomedullin levels in patients with NG were significantly (P <.001) lower than those in cataract patients. CONCLUSIONS: This first clinical in vivo study on aqueous humor adrenomedullin levels showed that this peptide may be involved in the pathophysiology of glaucoma. Increased aqueous humor adrenomedullin levels in patients with POAG may indicate a compensatory defense response against increased IOP to slow the formation and progression of a vicious cycle. On the other hand, there may be deficient production of the peptide in patients with NG, or adrenomedullin-producing cells may be lost because of very high IOP during the course of the disease. The control of adrenomedullin levels in the eye might be a target that could be considered in the therapeutic strategies for glaucoma. Further studies in this respect are needed.  相似文献

PURPOSE: To determine the role of nitric oxide (NO) in the clinical manifestations of cataract in different age and etiological groups. SETTING: Multicenter study, Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China. METHODS: Aqueous humor samples were obtained from 114 cataract patients in different etiological and age groups (eg, juvenile, traumatic, and age-related cataract). Using chemiluminescence assay, NO was detected through the light generated by ozone and NO interaction. The amount of NO production was calculated and compared among groups. The results were correlated with patient age. RESULTS: The NO levels in aqueous humor were highest in the 12 patients with traumatic cataract and lowest in the 15 patients with juvenile cataract (47.59 micromol/L +/- 12.81 [SD] and 7.66 +/- 2.62 micromol/L, respectively; P <.001). Aqueous humor NO levels were correlated with age and were highest in patients older than 80 years (mean 38.78 +/- 6.29 micromol/L) and in those with mature cataract (mean 40.15 +/- 6.15 micromol/L) (P <.05). CONCLUSIONS: The NO levels in the aqueous humor increased with age and traumatic events. The results suggest that NO could be a risk factor in cataract formation.  相似文献

PURPOSE: To evaluate the levels of erythropoietin (EPO) in the aqueous humor in eyes with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and without glaucoma. METHODS: Levels of EPO were measured using a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit in aqueous humor aspirates taken during anterior segment surgery from 45 patients, of whom 20 had POAG and 25 had senile cataract only. RESULTS: The mean aqueous humor EPO concentration in eyes with POAG (10.91+/-4.32 mU/mL) was significantly higher than that from eyes with cataract (8.24+/-1.77 mU/mL, P=0.008). There was no significant difference between the serum EPO concentrations of POAG (26.46+/-10.36 mU/mL) and the control group (24.50+/-7.59 mU/mL, P=0.468). There was no correlation (P=0.165) between the EPO aqueous humor concentration and the EPO serum concentration while there was no correlation between the EPO aqueous humor concentration and the EPO serum concentration in the control group (P=0.819). CONCLUSIONS: The aqueous humor EPO level is increased in eyes with POAG.  相似文献

PURPOSE: To assess the concentrations of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in aqueous humor in eyes with and without glaucoma. METHODS: Concentrations of VEGF were measured using a sandwich ELISA kit in aqueous humor aspirates taken during anterior segment surgery from 87 patients, of whom 54 had glaucoma (27 primary open-angle glaucoma, 8 angle-closure glaucoma, 16 exfoliative glaucoma) and 33 had cataract only. RESULTS: Vascular endothelial growth factor was detected in all samples. The concentration in eyes with cataract only without glaucoma was 102.4 +/- 29.7 pg/mL (mean +/- SD), which was significantly lower than that from eyes with glaucoma (146.7 +/- 51.8 pg/mL). There were no significant differences between primary open-angle glaucoma (140.4 +/- 51.0 pg/mL), angle-closure glaucoma (142.8 +/- 40.2 pg/mL), and exfoliative glaucoma (158.6 +/- 58.9 pg/mL). An unusually high VEGF concentration was detected in one eye with neovascular glaucoma (759 pg/mL) and two eyes with uveitic glaucoma (322 pg/mL). No effect of age, gender, or previous history of medical, laser, or surgical treatment of the aqueous humor VEGF concentration could be detected ( > 0.05). Aqueous humor and plasma VEGF concentrations were measured and compared in 46 patients. The aqueous humor VEGF concentration (144.2 +/- 107.9 pg/mL) was significantly higher ( < 0.01) than the plasma concentration (79.2 +/- 46.1 pg/mL). No significant correlation was found between aqueous humor and plasma VEGF concentrations. CONCLUSION: Aqueous VEGF concentration is increased in eyes with glaucoma.  相似文献

PURPOSE: To determine the concentration of hydroxyproline (Hyp) in aqueous humor and serum samples of patients with and without pseudoexfoliation (PEX). PATIENTS AND METHODS: Aqueous humor and serum Hyp levels were measured in cataract patients. Patients were divided into PEX and control groups. Samples were obtained from 27 cataract patients with PEX and 25 cataract patients without PEX. Patients had no elevated intraocular pressure or glaucoma. Hyp concentration was determined spectrophotometrically. RESULTS: Mean Hyp concentration in the PEX aqueous (0.86+/-0.27 mg/L) and serum (40.8+/-6.14 mg/L) samples was significantly higher than that measured in the control aqueous (0.56+/-0.2 mg/L) and serum (34.51+/-6.82 mg/L) samples, respectively (P<0.001, P=0.001). No significant correlation could be found between aqueous humor and serum Hyp concentrations. CONCLUSIONS: The higher levels of Hyp could be a sign of increased collagen turnover in PEX syndrome.  相似文献
