Reduced brain iron is strongly associated with restless legs syndrome (RLS). Oral iron supplements are commonly recommended for RLS but are largely ineffective due to poor absorption and poor tolerability at required doses. Intravenous iron dextran has been shown to increase brain iron content. Surprisingly only a few reports have ever presented data on the clinical effect of high dose intravenous iron for RLS.We retrospectively identified 25 subjects (age 53.2 ± 11.9, 7 male) that received intravenous iron for RLS refractory to conventional treatments. We infused 1 g of high molecular weight iron dextran over five hours.The age of RLS onset was 32.6 ± 13.0 years and 15 subjects had a positive family history of RLS. Patients attempted 7.5 ± 2.7 medications for RLS prior to iron therapy. Baseline ferritins ranged from 5 to 248 ng/ml (mean 43.5 ± 58.0) and 20/25 had ferritins of less than 50.Two subjects did not complete their entire infusion due to anaphylactic type symptoms but are included. Overall, 2 subjects reported complete amelioration of all RLS symptoms, 11 reported marked improvement, 2 moderate improvement, 3 mild improvement, and 6 reported no improvement. For those with improvement, the duration of effect was highly variable (mean 15.8 ± 17.7 weeks, range 1–60 weeks). Twelve subjects had multiple infusions. Iron dextran can dramatically improve refractory RLS but results are inconsistent and not predicted by patient demographics. Although burdened by a higher rate of anaphylactic reactions, iron dextran may be superior to other IV iron preparations.  相似文献

BackgroundIron supplementation is the most commonly considered treatment option for children with restless legs syndrome (RLS) or periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD); however, there is a scarcity of evidence on the effectiveness of intravenous preparations. In this study, we evaluated the effectiveness and tolerability of intravenous ferric carboxymaltose (IV FCM) on clinical symptoms and iron indices in children with RLS or PLMD.MethodsThis was a single-center retrospective data analysis. Children with a diagnosis of RLS or PLMD, who underwent a single infusion of IV FCM, were included. Clinical Global Impression (CGI) Scale scores, serum ferritin, and serum iron profile at baseline and after eight weeks post infusion were obtained. Adverse effects were assessed.ResultsThirty-nine children received IV FCM, 29 with RLS and 10 with PLMD. Pre-infusion CGI-Severity revealed moderate illness, with post-infusion CGI-Improvement between “very much improved” and “much improved”. Ferritin increased from 14.6 μg/L ± 7.01 to 112.4 μg/L ± 65.86 (p < 0.00001), together with improvements in iron, total iron binding capacity, and transferrin levels from baseline to post-treatment. When compared to children with RLS, those with PLMD had a similar improvement in clinical symptoms and laboratory parameters. Seven subjects (14.3%) experienced one or two adverse events; all were mild.ConclusionsChildren with RLS and PLMD responded to IV iron supplementation with improvement in both clinical severity and laboratory parameters. Treatment was well tolerated. Although larger, randomized-controlled trials are needed, IV FCM appears to be a promising alternative to oral iron supplementation for the treatment of pediatric RLS or PLMD.  相似文献

BackgroundThere have been few quality of life (QoL) studies of patients with restless legs syndrome (RLS) in Asian countries. We studied the QoL of patients with RLS and compared it to normal controls and patients with hypertension, type 2 diabetes, or osteoarthritis in Korea.MethodsA total of 215 RLS patients (141 female; mean age 51.7 ± 13.5) were enrolled. All patients completed the questionnaires, including all the Korean versions of SF-36, RLS QoL, the International RLS Severity scale (IRLS), the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and the Beck Depression Inventory-2 (BDI-2). These results were compared with the scores from normal controls (N = 214) and from patients with hypertension (196), uncomplicated type 2 diabetes (185), or osteoarthritis of the knee (177).ResultsThe SF-36 QoL in patients with RLS was lower than that of the normal controls, and even lower than patients with hypertension or diabetes, but higher than those with osteoarthritis. The SF-36 Qol of RLS patients showed a significantly negative correlation with the severity of RLS symptoms (r = ?0.430, p < 0.001) and the severity of depression (r = ?0.565, p < 0.001), but was not significantly related to gender, age, or age-of-symptom onset (early or late-onset). Step-wise multiple regression identified three factors related to SF-36 QoL: depression (46.5% of RLS had responses on BDI-2 indicating depression) (β = ?.899, p < 0.001), RLS symptom severity (K-IRLS) (β = ?.718, p < 0.001), and gender (female) (β = ?6.128, p = 0.007).ConclusionsThese findings show that RLS has a considerable impact on the QoL of Koreans, which is comparable with studies of western countries. The QoL impairment relates to the degree of depression with RLS for Koreans.  相似文献

ObjectiveTo describe celiac disease (CD) as a possible cause for low serum ferritin in patients with restless legs syndrome (RLS).BackgroundLow iron stores have been found to be a risk factor for RLS with serum ferritin levels less than 45–50 ng/mL associated with increased severity of RLS. It has become routine clinical practice to test serum ferritin in the initial assessment of RLS. CD is a common genetic disorder that can cause iron deficiency.MethodsConsecutive case series of four patients with RLS and serum ferritin below 25 ng/mL, who had positive screening tests for celiac disease.ResultsWe report four patients who had serum ferritin <12 ng/mL and positive screening tests for CD. All had CD confirmed by duodenal biopsy and response to a gluten-free diet. RLS symptoms improved in all four, with two able to discontinue RLS medication and two responding without medication.ConclusionsIn patients with RLS and low serum ferritin who do not have an obvious cause for iron deficiency, we suggest looking for CD by simple, inexpensive serologic testing. Diagnosis and treatment of CD is likely to improve the outcome for RLS, as well as identify individuals who are at risk for the significant long-term complications of CD.  相似文献

BackgroundDespite being frequently described in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), clinical characteristics and comorbidities in association with restless legs syndrome (RLS) are still to be confirmed.ObjectivesThe aim of this study was to investigate clinical factors associated with RLS in ESRD patients in hemodialysis.MethodsThis is a cross-sectional study of 400 patients on hemodialysis, evaluating RLS, clinical features and other sleep abnormalities.ResultsOut of 400, 86 patients presented RLS (21.5%; mean age 48.8 ± 13.8 y), being more frequent in females (p < 0.005). Forty-eight individuals (12% mean age 50.7 ± 13.1 y) had moderate/severe RLS, 14 reported symptoms prior to hemodialysis, 13 described family history of RLS, and eight described symptoms as disturbing during dialysis. RLS cases showed lower hemoglobin (p < 0.005), poorer quality of sleep (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index >5, p = 0.002), higher scores on the Beck Depression Inventory Scale (p < 0.005), greater scores on the Charlson Comorbidity Index (p = 0.01) and the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (p = 0.001) and higher risk of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA; Berlin questionnaire, p = 0.01). Hypertension was more frequent in cases with moderate/severe RLS (p = 0.01) and remained after controlling for the risk of OSA (p = 0.02).ConclusionIn ESRD patients in hemodialysis, RLS is present in 21.5%; 16% report symptoms prior to hemodialysis and a family history of RLS. Symptoms are disturbing during hemodialysis in 9% of cases. RLS is associated with lower hemoglobin, worse sleep quality, excessive daytime sleepiness, depressive symptoms and higher risk of OSA. Hypertension is associated with moderate/severe RLS.  相似文献

ObjectivesThe aim of the study was to prospectively examine all patients with a diagnosis of RLS consulting a sleep disorders clinic and to assess RLS severity and augmentation and their associations, including ferritin levels.MethodsPatients were stratified into patients with RLS as ancillary diagnosis, RLS sufferers without current augmentation and RLS sufferers with current augmentation. Work-up included RLS severity scales and blood biochemical variables including indices of iron metabolism.ResultsIn an 18-month period, 302 patients with RLS (183 women, 119 men; mean age, 59.1 ± 13.7 years) were recruited. RLS was considered idiopathic in 291 patients (96.4%). Most patients (240, 79.5%) were RLS sufferers, whereas the remaining 62 (20.5%) had RLS as ancillary diagnosis. Nineteen out of 162 patients treated with dopaminergic agents (11.7%) had current augmentation. Almost one-third of all patients (31.1%) had ferritin levels <50 μg/l. Patients with an ancillary diagnosis of RLS had higher ferritin levels than RLS sufferers without current augmentation. The lowest ferritin levels were present in RLS sufferers with current augmentation 132.8 ± 98.0 μg/l vs. 100.6 ± 84.5 μg/l vs. 55.8 ± 43.6 μg/l; p = 0.002). Patients with augmentation did not differ from non-augmented patients regarding age, gender, RLS etiology, presence of previous augmentation, or any other documented comorbidity (p > 0.05).ConclusionThe severity spectrum of RLS in this clinical cohort ranged from the ancillary diagnosis of RLS to augmented RLS. There was an inverse correlation between RLS severity and ferritin levels. Patients with current augmentation had the lowest ferritin levels. Our data further strengthen a putative role of low iron stores as a potential aggravator of idiopathic RLS. Moreover, low ferritin might represent a potential biomarker of RLS augmentation under dopaminergic therapy.  相似文献

ObjectiveRestless legs syndrome (RLS) is a common neurologic disorder. Secondary RLS includes pregnancy and iron deficiency. Prevalence of RLS in pregnancy ranges from 11% to 27%. We aimed to assess the frequency and characteristics of RLS in pregnancy in a Peruvian population and to evaluate the possible pregnancy or delivery complications due to RLS.MethodsWe assessed 218 consecutive expectant mothers at the inpatient clinic of the Hospital San Bartolome in Lima, Peru. Assessment was performed by using the standard diagnostic criteria for RLS and by using a clinical and diagnostic interview. Questionnaires for RLS severity, idiopathic RLS (IRLS), and excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) according to the Epworth sleepiness scale (ESS) were used. Blood examination was performed for hemoglobin and hematocrit. For comparison, RLS patients were matched for age and body mass index (BMI) with pregnant women without RLS.ResultsOut of 218 patients, 40 (18.4%) fulfilled diagnostic criteria for RLS. In RLS patients, prophylactic iron supplementation therapy during pregnancy was less frequently taken (P = .02). Pregnant women with RLS had a higher ESS score than pregnant controls (10.6 +/− 3.1 vs 7.6. +/− 3.6; P < .001). Preeclampsia was more frequent in RLS (7/40 vs 1/39; P = .03).ConclusionsIn our study, RLS was frequent in pregnant Peruvian women, especially in those without prophylactic iron supplementation. RLS patients described more EDS. Preeclampsia was more common in RLS. Our study is the first study to indicate a possible association between RLS and preeclampsia.  相似文献

ObjectivesWe aimed to describe the sensory topography of restless legs syndrome (RLS) sensory symptoms and to identify the relationship between topography and clinical variables.MethodsEighty adult patients with drug-naïve RLS who had symptoms for more than 1 year were consecutively recruited. During face-to-face interviews using a structured paper and pencil questionnaire with all participants, we obtained clinical information and also marked the topography of RLS sensory symptoms on a specified body template, all of which were subsequently inputted into our in-house software. The RLS sensory topography patterns were classified according to localization, lateralization, and symmetry. We investigated if these sensory topography patterns differed according to various clinical variables.ResultsThe lower extremities only (LE) were the most common location (72.5%), and 76.3% of participants exhibited symmetric sensory topography. Late-onset RLS showed more asymmetric sensory distribution compared with early-onset RLS (P = .024). Patients whose sensory symptoms involved the lower extremities in addition to other body parts (LE-PLUS) showed more severe RLS compared with those involving the LE (P = .037).ConclusionRLS sensory symptoms typically were symmetrically located in the lower extremities. LE-PLUS or an asymmetric distribution more often occurred in patients with more severe RLS symptoms or late-onset RLS.  相似文献

We investigated daytime dysfunction in children with restless legs syndrome (RLS) and the effects of treatment primarily with iron supplements on RLS symptoms and daytime dysfunction. We recruited 25 children with RLS (male:female = 6:19, mean age at study onset: 12.3 years) for this prospective study, assessing their demographics, symptomatic characteristics, serum ferritin levels, and daytime functioning using the ADHD Rating Scale IV (ADHD-RS-IV), the Pediatric Symptom Checklist (PSC), and the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL™). Children with RLS were compared with 28 controls (male:female = 10:18, mean age: 13.2 years) on these measures, pre- and post-treatment. Before treatment, ADHD-RS-IV (all ps < 0.05) and PSC scores (p < 0.05) were significantly higher and PedsQL™ scores (all ps < 0.05) significantly lower in the RLS group than in the control group. Eight and one of the RLS group had abnormally high PSC and ADHD-RS-IV scores, respectively. Following treatment, participants' daytime function had improved to levels similar to those of controls. Sixteen out of twenty-three cases were successfully treated primarily with iron supplement. Some children with RLS have daytime dysfunction; however, this can be treated with iron supplements.  相似文献

ObjectiveWe conducted a retrospective chart review of children with restless legs syndrome (RLS) to evaluate the efficacy of oral iron treatment, which was administered open-label during the course of clinical care. In addition, we provided detailed clinical information about RLS in this pediatric cohort.Patients and methodsThe study included 30 consecutive Japanese children with RLS who visited the Pediatric Sleep Clinic at Osaka University Hospital, and consisted of 17 boys and 13 girls, aged 2–14 years (mean ± SD, 6.5 ± 2.8). All-night polysomnography was performed in 18 patients and serum ferritin levels were measured in all the patients. After the diagnosis of RLS, iron was administered at doses between 1.6 and 7.8 mg/kg/day (3.2 ± 1.3). Serum ferritin was re-evaluated 3–6 months after iron treatment, or when RLS symptoms had disappeared.ResultsThe patient age at onset of RLS symptoms ranged from six months to 13 years (4.3 ± 3.6). A positive family history was recognized in 19 children (63.3%). Serum ferritin levels before therapy were 9–62 ng/ml (26.6 ± 12.8) and oral iron supplementation was reported to be highly effective in 17 children, effective in 10, and ineffective in three. The serum ferritin level at follow-up was 23–182 ng/ml (83.5 ± 49.8). The onset of treatment effect was within approximately three months.ConclusionsIron treatment could be effective in Japanese pediatric RLS.  相似文献

BackgroundRestless legs syndrome (RLS) is a primary sensory disorder with a secondary motor component (e.g., urge to move), and the thalamus is known to play a central role in RLS. The purpose of our study was to explore the intrinsic changes in the thalamocortical circuit in RLS patients using a resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) paradigm.MethodsResting-state fMRIs were obtained in the morning from 25 idiopathic RLS patients who were not using RLS medications and 25 controls. Resting-state connectivity was analyzed by a seed-based method using Analysis of Functional NeuroImages (AFNI) software with the bilateral thalami (ventroposterolateral nucleus [VPLN]). The connectivity characteristics of RLS patients were compared to those of the controls.ResultsWe found that RLS patients showed reduced thalamic connectivity with the right parahippocampal gyrus, right precuneus, right precentral gyrus, and bilateral lingual gyri; however, the right superior temporal gyrus, bilateral middle temporal gyrus, and right medial frontal gyrus showed enhanced connectivity with the thalamus. RLS severity was negatively correlated with connectivity between the thalamus and right parahippocampal gyrus (r = −0.414; P = .040).ConclusionsOur results suggest that the characteristics of the connectivity changes may reflect the pathways involved in producing RLS symptoms and indicate that RLS patients may have deficits in controlling and managing sensory information, which supports the act of viewing RLS as a disorder disrupting somatosensory processing.  相似文献

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of intravenous (IV) iron (500 mg ferric carboxymaltose [FCM] as a single dose) on restless legs syndrome (RLS) severity on a day-to-day basis.MethodsTwenty patients with RLS and absolute or functional iron deficiency or low normal serum ferritin (<45 μg/l) were included. Change of RLS severity was evaluated using the International RLS severity scale (IRLS) and the RLS-severity diary (RLS-SD) which evaluates symptom severity over a 6-h period on an 11-point numerical Likert scale, four times a day.ResultsTwelve patients reported that IV FCM improved RLS (“responders”). IRLS score decreased from 30.1 (±5.9) to 23.07 (±9.5) (p = 0.001) in the whole group and from 28.3 (±6.1) to 18.3 (±8.0) (p = 0.002) in the responder group three weeks after IV FCM treatment. A clinically relevant effect of IV iron on RLS severity could be seen as early as day eight. The responder group differed from the non-responder group in tendency by being younger (p = 0.064), having a lower serum ferritin level at baseline (p = 0.097), and presenting a lower number of comorbid conditions.ConclusionsFCM led to a considerable improvement in RLS in the responder group within about one week. These findings are clinically relevant, especially for patients with severe RLS symptoms and iron deficiency, since a change or uptitration of RLS-specific medication can be avoided or postponed in these patients due to the rapid response to IV FCM treatment.  相似文献

BackgroundThe pathophysiology of restless legs syndrome (RLS) is not yet understood. A prior voxel-based morphometry (VBM) study reported gray matter increase in the pulvinar of the thalamus in a group of patients, most of whom were on medical treatment. Since there is evidence that medication can change the volume of cerebral structures, the question arises as to whether the reported morphometric alterations are caused by the RLS itself or, alternatively, are a consequence of drug treatment. To address this issue, we performed VBM in unmedicated RLS patients.MethodsFourteen patients with idiopathic RLS with no (n = 11) or only minimal (n = 3) treatment exposure in the past and 14 age- and sex-matched healthy subjects were investigated. All subjects were free of psychotropic drugs for at least 4 months. Morphological data were analyzed by using optimized VBM.ResultsWe did not detect any structural changes except for slightly increased gray matter density in the ventral hippocampus (p = 0.046 on the left and p = 0.055 on the right side) and in the middle orbitofrontal gyrus (p = 0.046 on the right and p = 0.097 on the left side).ConclusionOur study could not confirm the findings of a prior study. A possible explanation for the divergent findings is the difference between the populations examined. Since, in our study, essentially treatment-naïve patients were investigated, it is possible that the prior findings reflect treatment-induced effects on cerebral morphology in RLS.  相似文献

ObjectiveRestless legs syndrome (RLS) is a common neurological movement disorder occurring in approximately 10% of the general population. The prevalence of moderately severe RLS is 2.7% overall (3.7% for women and 1.7% for men). Epilepsy is also a common neurological disorder with significant associated morbidity and impact on quality of life. We evaluated the severity and frequency of primary RLS in patients with localization-related temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) and investigated the role of prodromal RLS symptoms as a warning sign and lateralizing indicator.MethodsAll epilepsy patients seen in the outpatient clinic were screened for movement disorders from 2005 to 2015. Ninety-eight consecutive patients with localization-related TLE (50 right TLE and 48 left TLE) who met inclusion criteria were seen in the outpatient clinic. The control group consisted of 50 individuals with no history or immediate family history of epilepsy.Each patient was evaluated with the International Restless Legs Study Group (IRLSSG) questionnaire, NIH RLS diagnostic criteria, ferritin level, and comprehensive sleep screening including polysomnography. Furthermore, patients with obstructive sleep apnea or a definite cause of secondary restless legs syndrome such as low serum ferritin or serum iron levels were also excluded from the study.ResultsThere was a significant association between the type of epilepsy and whether or not patients had RLS χ2 (1) = 10.17, p < .01, using the χ2 Goodness of Fit Test. Based on the odds ratio, the odds of patients having RLS were 4.60 times higher if they had right temporal epilepsy than if they had left temporal epilepsy, serving as a potential lateralizing indicator. A prodromal sensation of worsening RLS occurred in some patients providing the opportunity to intervene at an earlier stage in this subgroup.SignificanceWe identified frequent moderate to severe RLS in patients with epilepsy. The frequency of RLS was much more common than would typically be seen in patients of similar age. The restlessness was typically described as moderately severe. The RLS symptoms were more common and somewhat more severe in the right TLE group than the left TLE group.  相似文献

BackgroundData regarding autonomic function in restless legs syndrome (RLS) are limited to heart rate and blood pressure changes in cases with periodic limb movements (PLMS).MethodsWe compared autonomic symptoms of 49 subjects with RLS vs 291 control subjects using the Scales for Outcome in Parkinson disease-Autonomic (SCOPA-AUT) questionnaire, consisting of 23 items in six domains scored from 0 to 3. The total score and domain scores were transformed to 0–100 points. Subjects with neurodegenerative disorders (i.e., dementia, Parkinsonism) were excluded.ResultsThe RLS group was younger (mean ± standard deviation, 77.9 ± 8.0 vs 80.5 ± 7.9 years; P = .03) and included more women (84% vs 69%; P = .04). The mean SCOPA-AUT total score was higher in the RLS group compared with the control group (20 ± 11 vs 16 ± 9; P = .005). Additionally the RLS group had abnormalities in gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and pupillomotor domains. When comparing the percentage of subjects with any complaint on individual questions (score of ⩾1), the RLS group had a greater number of subjects with sialorrhea, constipation, early abdominal fullness, lightheadedness when standing, and heat intolerance.ConclusionsAutonomic complaints, especially gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and oversensitivity to light, were significantly increased in subjects with RLS. Causes for autonomic dysfunction in RLS require further investigation.  相似文献

BackgroundDeep brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus (STN-DBS) improves sleep in patients affected by Parkinson’s disease (PD). Since microsubthalamotomy (mSTN) shows positive effects on motor symptoms, it could improve sleep in PD patients. Our goals were: to assess the effects of mSTN on sleep in patients affected by advanced PD; and to look for a correlation between sleep and motor features after the neurosurgical procedure.MethodsFifteen patients who underwent bilateral STN-DBS were enrolled. Subjective sleep evaluation was assessed using the Parkinson’s Disease Sleep Scale (PDSS). Data on sleep schedule and presence of restless legs syndrome (RLS) were obtained. Objective sleep features were investigated by polysomnography (PSG). To evaluate the mSTN effect, we compared motor state and sleep features before and after the neurosurgical procedure, before the programmable pulse generator was switched on.ResultsmSTN had beneficial effects on motor state and sleep features. After the surgery, the mean total PDSS score increased from 84.0 ± 25.2 to 115.2 ± 16.6 (P < 0.001). PD patients reported longer total sleep time duration, decreased daytime sleepiness, and improvement in RLS symptoms. PSG data showed an increase in total sleep time and sleep efficiency with a decrease in wakefulness after sleep onset and arousal index. No correlation between motor improvements and sleep features modifications was observed after mSTN.ConclusionsmSTN improves sleep quality and ameliorates several sleep complaints, as well as motor symptoms, in advanced PD patients who have undergone STN-DBS.  相似文献

Background and objectivesPeriodic leg movements during sleep (PLMS) are associated with important blood pressure (BP) increases in restless legs syndrome (RLS) patients. These movements also are highly prevalent in the healthy elderly population. The aims of our study were to evaluate if heart rate (HR) and BP changes associated with PLMS are present in healthy subjects with no report of health concerns and to compare the amplitude of cardiovascular changes in healthy subjects to that of RLS subjects.MethodsFourteen healthy subjects (six men, eight women; 46.6 ± 9.7 y) and 14 RLS subjects (six men, eight women; 47.6 ± 11.8 y) matched for age and gender participated in our study. Beat-to-beat noninvasive BP was continuously recorded during one night of polysomnography. HR, systolic BP (SBP) and diastolic BP (DBP) were measured for 10 beats before and 15 beats after onset of PLMS with and without microarousals (MA).ResultsPLMS were associated with sudden and significant increases of HR, SBP and DBP in both groups; however, cardiovascular increases were more pronounced in RLS subjects than in healthy subjects.ConclusionsBecause PLMS index increases with age in healthy subjects and aging is associated with higher cardiovascular risk, further studies should investigate the impact of PLMS-related BP changes on the development of cardiovascular diseases in healthy elderly populations.  相似文献

ObjectiveWe investigated the prevalence of nocturnal smoking (NS) in patients with RLS.MethodsOne hundred RLS patients living in Emilia-Romagna (Northern Italy) and 100 matched controls, randomly selected from the general population, underwent interviews for the presence of nocturnal smoking and for obsessive-compulsive traits, depression, excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) and subjective sleep quality.ResultsNS was more prevalent in RLS patients than controls (lifetime prevalence: 12% vs. 2%, P = 0.012). Patients with NS had more frequently Sleep-Related Eating Disorders (SRED) than patients without NS (83.3% vs. 26.1%, P = 0.0002). Pathological and borderline Maudsley Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory (MOCI) values as well as pathological values at the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) increased from controls to RLS patients without NS to RLS patients with NS (P = 0.005 and P = 0.01, respectively).ConclusionsWe demonstrate an increased prevalence of NS in patients with RLS, in many cases associated with increased SRED. NS may be associated with psychopathological traits in RLS and may be relevant in the management of RLS patients.  相似文献
