Background:Recent genetic association studies showed that there are contradictory results on the relationship between vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphisms and type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) risk in children. The purpose of this systematic review is to collect the currently available evidence to evaluate the relationship between VDR gene polymorphisms and the risk of T1DM in children.Methods:Such medical databases as Wanfang Data, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chongqing VIP Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database, PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science were extensively searched for relevant literatures published before June 2021 with the focus on the relationship between VDR gene polymorphisms and the risk of T1DM in children. The risk of bias was evaluated as per the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale by 2 independent researchers. Meta-analysis was performed to quantify the relationship between VDR gene polymorphisms and T1DM risk in children.Results:The results of this meta-analysis would be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal for publication.Conclusion:The relationship between VDR gene polymorphisms and T1DM risk in children is explored via this meta-analysis.Ethics and dissemination:Ethical approval was not required for this study. Background:Previous studies displayed that thrombomodulin gene polymorphisms are closely associated with venous thromboembolism (VTE), while the results are inconsistent. Therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis to accurately determine the association between thrombomodulin gene polymorphism and the risk of VTE.Methods:Wanfang, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, the Chongqing VIP Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database, PubMed, EmBase, and Web of Science databases were searched, and the time to build the database was set until January 2021. The association between thrombomodulin gene polymorphism and the risk of VTE was evaluated. Background: The gene mutation of coding sodium channel is one of the most important mechanisms in the pathogenesis of epilepsy. There exists a large inter-individual variation in the efficacy of valproic acid (VPA) against epilepsy. What are the genetic polymorphism influences of sodium channels on VPA response is still under discussion. In this study, a meta-analysis was used to further explore the effects of SCN1A and SCN2A gene polymorphism on VPA response in children with epilepsy.Methods: The PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Science and Technique Journals Database, China Biology Medicine disc, and Wan Fang Database were searched up to April 2021 for appropriate studies regarding the association between SCN1A and SCN2A gene polymorphism on VPA response in children suffering from epilepsy. Background:As nursing resources is directly related to patient outcomes in the intensive care unit setting, identifying factors related to nursing resources at various levels could contribute to improving those outcomes. This study aims to determine the association of nursing resources with outcomes of intensive care unit patients.Method:This study adheres to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis for Protocols. Chinese electronic Database (Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Wanfang, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure) and international electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science) will be searched for all relevant published articles, with no restrictions on the year of publication or language. Study selection, data collection and assessment of study bias will be conducted independently by a pair of independent reviewers. The Newcastle–Ottawa Scale tool will be used for the risk of bias assessment. The Grading of Recommendations Assessment Development and Evaluation system will be used to assess the quality of evidence. Background:Hepatolithiasis commonly occurs in the bile duct proximal to the confluence of the right and left hepatic ducts, regardless of the coexistence of gallstones in gallbladder or the common bile duct. Clinical research proves that minimally invasive surgery is effective in the treatment of hepatolithiasis. Although previous meta-analysis also shows that it could reduce intraoperative bleeding and blood transfusion, and shorten hospital stay time, there are few meta-analyses on its long-term efficacy. We conducted the meta-analysis and systematic review to systematically evaluate the long-term efficacy and advantages of minimally invasive hepatectomy in the treatment of hepatolithiasis.Methods:Articles of randomized controlled trials will be searched in the PubMed, Medline, Embase, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chongqing VIP Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database, Chinese Biological and Medical database, and Wanfang database until September, 2020. Literature extraction and risk of bias assessment will be completed by 2 reviewers independently. Background:Several studies have been performed to investigate the association between vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphism and acute pancreatitis, but the results are inconclusive. Two reviewers independently conducted data extraction and literature quality evaluation. Background:Diabetic retinopathy is a common complication of diabetes with a high incidence, and vitamin D deficiency is associated with diabetic retinopathy. Serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D [25-hydroxy-vitamind, 25 (OH) D], a product of vitamin D in the body, is considered the best indicator of a person''s vitamin D nutritional status, and can be determined by measuring the concentration of 25 (OH) D. The purpose of this study is to systematically evaluate the correlation between serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D levels and diabetic retinopathy.Methods:To search English databases (PubMed, Excerpta Medical Database (Embase), Web of Science, the Cochrane Library) and Chinese databases (Chinese National Knowledge Internet, Development, and Evaluation (CNKI), WanFang, Viper, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database) by computer about Clinical study on the correlation between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D level and diabetic retinopathy from the establishment of the database to November 2020. Two researchers independently conducted data extraction and literature quality evaluation on the quality of the included studies, and meta-analysis is conducted on the included literatures using Stata12.0 and RevMan5.3 software.Conclusion:In this study, the correlation between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D level and diabetic retinopathy was systematically evaluated to provide an evidence-based basis for clinicians.Ethics and dissemination:Private information from individuals will not be published. Background:Currently, an increasing number of long noncoding RNAs (LncRNAs) have been reported to be abnormally expressed in human carcinomas and play a vital role in tumourigenesis. Some studies were carried out to investigate the influence of the expression of plasmacytoma variant translocation 1 (PVT1) on prognosis and its clinical significance in patients with breast cancer, while the results were contradictory and uncertain. A meta-analysis was conducted with controversial data to accurately assess the issue.Methods:A detailed search of relevant researches was performed in Wanfang, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chongqing VIP Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database, PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science. Two reviewers independently conducted data extraction and literature quality evaluation. Odd ratio and its 95% confidence intervals were applied to evaluate the relationship between PVT1 and clinicopathological characteristics of breast cancer patients. Hazard ratios and its 95% confidence intervals were adopted to assess the prognostic effects of PVT1 on overall survival and disease-free survival. Background:Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a fatal epidemic has swept across the world, especially in India where the epidemic situation is the most serious. For COVID-19 patients, pulmonary rehabilitation training plays a significant role. However, it is still a controversial issue regarding the efficacy of WeChat APP-based pulmonary rehabilitation training in improving lung function, quality of life and bad mood of COVID-19 patients. To clarify this issue, a meta-analysis was conducted in this present study, so as to provide a basis for rehabilitation guidance of COVID-19 patients.Methods:We systematically searched PubMed, medRxiv, Web of Science, Scopus, Chinese Science Citation Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese Scientific Journal Database, and Wan-fang databases in May 2021 to identify randomized controlled trials and evaluate the effects of WeChat APP-based pulmonary rehabilitation training for COVID-19. Two researchers independently carried out data extraction. Background:Nonpharmacological intervention can improve the sleep quality of hemodialysis patients. However, there are many types of nonpharmacological interventions, which makes it difficult to determine the best one. Therefore, this study carried out network meta-analysis to evaluate the effects of nonpharmacological intervention on sleep quality of hemodialysis patients, so as to provide evidence for the selection of the optimal nonpharmacological intervention for the improvement of sleep quality of hemodialysis patients clinically.Methods:Randomized controlled trials on the effects of nonpharmaceutical interventions on sleep quality in hemodialysis patients were conducted by searching English databases (PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and Web of Science) and Chinese databases (Chinese Scientific Journal Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database, Wanfang, and China Biomedical Literature Database) on computer. The retrieval time was from the establishment of the database to May 2021. Literature screening, data extraction, and evaluation of the risk of bias in the included studies were conducted independently by two researchers. Background:A cataract is a degenerative change in the optical quality of the lens caused by protein denaturation. Modern medicine is mainly based on surgical treatment. Cataract surgery is often accompanied by severe inflammation, and glucocorticoid therapy has many adverse reactions and side effects. The non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug sodium bromfenac not only has good anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-allergic effects, but also does not produce side effects caused by hormone drugs. Clinical studies have shown that sodium bromfenac eye drops have a good curative effect in treating postoperative inflammation of cataract, with low recurrence rate and certain therapeutic advantages, but lack of evidence-based medicine evidence. Background:The distribution of ABO blood group is related to the incidence of various diseases. Gestational hypertensive disorders (GHD) is one of the most important risk factors during pregnancy, which has certain heredity. It is reported that ABO blood type is associated with the risk of GHD. However, the results are still controversial. In this study, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to clarify the relationship between ABO blood group and GHD.Methods:All eligible studies come from Embase, Cochrane Library, Pubmed, Chinese databases SinoMed, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Scientific Journals Database, and Wanfang Data. The retrieval time is from the establishment of the database to March 2021. The language will be limited to Chinese and English. The 2 reviewers will be responsible for the selection of the study, the extraction of data, and the evaluation of the quality of the research. Pooled odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to assess the corresponding associations. Sensitivity analysis, publication bias assessment, and heterogeneity test were performed using STATA 16.0.Results:The results of this meta-analysis will be published in peer-reviewed journals.Conclusion:This study will provide evidence to support the relationship between ABO blood group and the risk of GHD.Ethics and dissemination:The private information from individuals will not be published. Background:In clinical practices, postoperative fracture patients are often treated with analgesics. As one of the alternative therapies for nondrug analgesia, auricular point pressing has advantages of simple operation, easy to use, no injury and adverse reactions, and great potential for development. Background:The varicose veins of the lower extremities showed earthworm-like dilatation and venous protrusion of the lower extremities. Polidocanol foam sclerotherapy, as a minimally invasive treatment with rapid recovery, less trauma and not easy to relapse, has achieved good results in clinical, but it is lack of evidence-based medicine. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of polidocanol in the treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities by meta-analysis.Method:Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, Chinese Scientifific Journals Database, China Biology Medicine disc, PubMed, EMBASE database, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library will be used as search sources to conduct for randomized controlled trials of polidocanol in the treatment of varicose veins of lower extremities. The search time is set from the establishment of the database in December 2020 in this study. Two researchers independently extract, delete files, extract data and evaluate the quality. Background:Myasthenia gravis is a common autoimmune disease in clinic. Although there are various ways and drugs for the treatment of myasthenia gravis in Western medicine, there are still a variety of adverse reactions. Studies have shown that Buzhong Yiqi decoction combined with Western medicine has a certain efficacy in the treatment of myasthenia gravis, but there is a lack of evidence-based medicine. The research carried out in this scheme is to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Buzhong Yiqi decoction combined with Western medicine in the treatment of myasthenia gravis, and to provide reliable evidence for guiding clinical practice.Methods:English databases (the Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, Embase) and Chinese databases (China Biomedical Database, China Science and Technology Journal Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang) will be searched by computer. In addition, Baidu Academic and Chinese Clinical Trial Registration Center will be searched manually. A randomized controlled clinical trial of Buzhong Yiqi decoction combined with Western medicine in the treatment of myasthenia gravis will be conducted from the establishment of the database to December 2020. Background:Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) has the characteristics of minimally invasive, strong repeatability, and good curative effect, so it is commonly used in the nonoperative treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, infection will occur after TACE, which not only increases the hospitalization time and medical expenses, but also affects the efficacy of TACE treatment. At present, there is a lack of analysis of the risk factors of infection after TACE of patients with HCC. In this study, meta-analysis was used to further explore the risk factors of postoperative infection in patients with HCC after TACE, and to provide strategies for infection prevention and intervention.Methods:To search the literatures about the influencing factors of post-TACE infection in patients with HCC published from the establishment of PubMed, Embase, The Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China Biology Medicine Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, China Science and Technology Journal Database, and WANFANG to April 2021. Screening was carried out according to inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. Meta-analysis was performed with Stata 14.0 software. To further assess the function of LncRNA UCA1 in esophageal carcinoma, relevant data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database was collected. Three databases, miRWalk, TargetScan, and miRDB, were used for prediction of target genes. Genes present in these 3 databases were considered as predicted target genes of LncRNA UCA1. Venny 2.1 were used for intersection analysis. Subsequently, GO, KEGG, and PPI network analysis were conducted based on the overlapping target genes of LncRNA UCA1 to explore the possible molecular mechanism in esophageal carcinoma.Results:This study provides a high-quality medical evidence for the correlation between LncRNA UCA1 expression and overall survival, and between disease-free survival and clinicopathological features. Based on bioinformatics analysis, this study enhanced the understanding of the mechanism and related pathways of LncRNA UCA1 in esophageal carcinoma.Conclusion:The study provides updated evidence to evaluate whether the expression of LncRNA UCA1 is in association with poor prognosis in patients with esophageal carcinoma.Ethics and disseminationThe private information from individuals will not be published. Background:Gastric cancer is a global health problem with high incidence rate and mortality rate. Due to the limitations of traditional chemotherapy drugs, such as patient intolerance, low efficacies and serious adverse effects, trifluridine/tipiracil has been considered to be a promising treatment for patients with heavily pretreated metastatic gastric cancer. However, the relevant systematic review has not been occurring. The presentation of this protocol is to scientifically evaluate the efficacy and safety of trifluridine/tipiracil in patients with highly pretreated metastatic gastric cancer.Methods:The protocol followed Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Protocols. We will systematically search MEDLINE, PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database (CNKI), VIP Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database (VIP), Wan Fang Database up to November 1, 2020 to identify published articles. Using the Cochrane risk assessment tool to assess the methodological quality of the RCTs, and all included studies will be analyzed according to the criteria in the Cochrane Handbook. Review Manager 5.3 software will be used for literature quality evaluation and data analysis.Results:Objective to evaluate the efficacy and safety of trifluridine/tipiracil in patients with heavily pretreated metastatic gastric cancer by analyzing the eligible data extracted under limited conditions.Conclusion:This study provides clear evidence to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of trifluridine/tipiracil for patients with highly pretreated metastatic gastric cancer, and the findings will also be published in a peer-reviewed journal.Ethics and dissemination:No ethical statement will be required for this study because there is no direct involvement of human. Background:The incidence of gestational diabetes is increasing, which not only cause adverse pregnancy outcomes, but also increases the risk of diabetes for pregnant women and their children. Insulin is the gold standard for the treatment of gestational diabetes, but there are some disadvantages, such as poor patient compliance. Metformin has been used in the treatment of gestational diabetes, but the evaluation of its efficacy and safety is lack of reliable evidence-based medicine evidence. The purpose of this study was to systematically investigate the efficacy and safety of metformin in the treatment of diabetic gestational diabetes.Methods:Computer searches China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, Vipu Information Chinese Journal Service Platform and China Biomedical Database, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, the Cochrane Library from the establishment of the database to November 2020, randomized controlled clinical trials of metformin in the treatment of gestational diabetes mellitus were conducted in English and Chinese. Two researchers independently carried out data extraction and literature quality evaluation on the quality of the included study, and the included literature was analyzed by Meta using RevMan5.3 software.Results:In this study, the efficacy and safety of metformin in the treatment of diabetic gestational diabetes were investigated by evaluating the outcome indicators of pregnant women and newborn babies respectively.Conclusion:This study will provide reliable evidence for the clinical application of metformin in the treatment of diabetic gestational diabetes.Ethics and dissemination:The private information from individuals will not be published. This systematic review also will not involve endangering participant rights. Ethical approval is not required. Background:Breast cancer is a common malignant tumor in women. In recent years, its incidence is increasing year by year, and its morbidity and mortality rank the first place among female malignant tumors. Some key enzymes and intermediates in glycolysis are closely related to tumor development. Pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2) is an important rate-limiting enzyme in glycolysis pathway. Meanwhile, it is highly expressed in proliferative cells, especially in tumor cells, and plays an important role in the formation of Warburg effect and tumorigenesis. Previous studies have explored the effects of PKM2 expression on the prognosis and clinical significance of breast cancer patients, while the results are contradictory and uncertain. This study uses controversial data for meta-analysis to accurately evaluate the problem. We collected relevant Oncomine and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) data to further verify the results. Through bioinformatics analysis, the mechanism and related pathways of PKM2 in breast cancer are explored.Methods:We searched Wanfang, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, the Chongqing VIP Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database, PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases from inception to March 2021. The language restrictions are Chinese and English. The published literatures on PKM2 expression and prognosis or clinicopathological characteristics of breast cancer patients were statistically analyzed. Combined hazard ratios (HRs), odds ratios (ORs), and 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) were used to evaluate the effects of PKM2 on the prognosis and clinicopathological features of breast cancer. Stata 14.0 software was applied for meta-analysis. Oncomine and TCGA databases were used to meta-analyze the differences of PKM2 mRNA expression between breast cancer and normal breast tissues. The expression of PKM2 protein was verified by Human Protein Atlas (HPA) database. The relationship between the gene and the survival of breast cancer patients was analyzed by Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA). The relationship between PKM2 gene and clinicopathological characteristics was analyzed by using LinkedOmics, and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment pathway analysis was performed by using Metascape. Protein–protein interaction (PPI) network was constructed by String website.Results:The results of this meta-analysis will be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal for publication.Conclusion:This study provides high-quality medical evidence for the correlation between the expression of PKM2 and the prognosis and clinicopathological features of breast cancer. Through bioinformatics analysis, this study further deepens the understanding of the mechanism and related pathways of PKM2 in breast cancer.Ethics and dissemination:The private information from individuals will not be published.
