| Abstract: | Objective To investigate one case of Cushing's syndrome with atypical signs and
with hypokalemia and repeated fracture as the first manifestations. Methods The clinical data of a case of Cushing's
syndrome with hypokalemia and repeated fractures as the first manifestations in
Weihai Municipal Hospital, Shandong University were analyzed, and the
literatures were reviewed. Results A 68-year-old female
patient was diagnosed as adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) pituitary tumor in
sellar region with hypokalemia and repeated fracture as the first
manifestations, and she was improved after surgical treatment. Conclusion Patients with
hypokalemia and repeated fracture are prone to missed diagnosis due to atypical
clinical signs, and they should be paid attention to in clinical work. |
