Abstract: | Abstract: Objective To quantitatively and systematically evaluate the relationship between gr/gr microdeletion in AZFc region of the Y chromosome and oligospermia and azoospermia. Methods A case-control study of gr/gr and DAZ microdeletions and male oligozoospermia and azoospermia was retrieved by using databases, including NCBI PubMed,CNKI and Wanfang. The deadline was 31 May,2018.Stata 12.0 software was used to calculate the odds ratio(OR)and its confidence interval(95%CI)to assess the association of AZFc microdeletion with oligozoospermia and azoospermia. Results A total of 19 eligible articles were included, including 8464 subjects(5155 cases and 3309 controls).Stata combined analysis showed that,gr/gr microdeletion in AZFc region was significantly associated with oligozoospermia(OZ),the deletion rate in case group was significantly higher than that in control group,OR and 95% CI were 1.61(1.06-2.44).However,no significant association was found between gr/gr and azoospermia(AZ),OR and 95% CI were 1.23(0.85-1.79).Conclusion Y chromosome AZFc gr/gr microdeletion may be the independent genetic factors of oligozoospermia in males. |
