| Abstract: | A method for identification of Candida albicans within 5 min was evaluated by using 4,643 yeast isolates. Six false-positive and three false-negative reactions were observed. The specificity (99.87%) and sensitivity (99.74%) obtained indicate that the Bichro-latex albicans test is a useful method for the rapid identification of C. albicans colonies. |
